Support workspaces
For clients with outside funding and supports, like CLBC and WorkBC: their goals, people, funding, journal, documents and reports in one place. Switch it on for the clients who need it.
New to Support workspaces?
For a client with outside funding or supports (CLBC, WorkBC, benefits): switch it on here, set it up once, then add a journal update after your sessions.

How it works
Seven steps, in the order the work happens. You and Caleb can add and change everything except the CLBC funding and payments; only Caleb deletes.
-
01What it is for
Some clients have help from outside Private Mentorship: CLBC funding, a WorkBC program, a behaviour consultant, government benefits. The workspace keeps all of it in one place for that client: the goals the funder pays for, the people and offices involved, the funding, what you did toward each goal, the documents and the reports.
-
02Switch it on for a client who needs it
In More, open Support workspaces and turn the switch on beside your client. Only switch it on for a client with outside funding or supports. Once it is on, the family can read it (the money only if they have permission to see finances), and Caleb can see who switched it on. Outside workers never get a login; they are records only.
-
03Set it up once
Open the workspace. The set-up guide on the Overview lists the seven parts and which are started. Add the funder’s goals word for word, the people and organizations around the client, their benefits and the documents (as links). Caleb records the CLBC funding and the payments. Every record has a small pencil to change it later.
-
04After a session, add a journal update
Journal, then Add update: the date, a short title, what happened and how it moved the client toward a goal, and pick that goal. Keep it to facts you saw. These updates are what the reports are written from, so a few lines each time is worth more than a long note once a month.
-
05Government offices count too
A visit or call to Service Canada, the Ministry, CRA or another office goes in the journal as well: fill in the office and how it happened (in person, phone, online, email or mail). They gather under “Government and services” so everyone can see what was done and when.
-
06Reports are drafted for you
In Reports, open the period and choose Draft from journal: the report is assembled goal by goal from your updates. Read it, fix anything that is not right, and mark it ready. Caleb sends it to the funder.
-
07When someone moves on
Open the person and set “Still involved?” to Past, with the month they finished. They move under Past with their dates, so the history stays without crowding today’s team.
Never write here
Passwords, SIN or other ID numbers, bank details. Write as if the family and the client will read it, in English or Chinese, because they can.
